Universal Extractor is a program designed to decompress and extract files from any type of archive or installer, including ZIP or RAR files, self-extracting EXE files, application installers, and more. If you have any questions about Universal Extractor or encounter any issues, please post your comments in the UniExtract subforum on the MSFN message board. **Download/Screenshots** **Installation and Usage** **Technical Details** **Supported Formats** **Credits** Introduction: ![]() ![]() Although I haven't used it myself, I recommend trying Bioruebe's version of Universal Extractor if you're experiencing issues with the official version or struggling to extract newer formats and executables. I'm not affiliated with the project, but it seems like a nice continuation of the original open-source spirit. Recently, I discovered another project called Universal Extractor 2. There have been several unofficial forks and continuations released, which I appreciate for their effort and enthusiasm. However, most of these updates have been closed-source modifications that I wouldn't recommend. Note: Development on the official version of Universal Extractor has stopped. Since I no longer run Windows, it's not something I need anymore.
